Diversity of the Lower Vertebrates
SIB 496
Diversity of Lower Vertebrates will introduce
students to the taxonomic,
functional, and ecological diversity of fishes, amphibians, and reptiles.
The
evolutionary history of those groups will also be discussed in the course.
In
addition to lecture and laboratory, the course will include field trips that
will allow students to observe organisms in their natural habitats and
become familiar with collecting techniques. Laboratories will focus mainly
on anatomy and identification.
