Title: Botanist, Wetland Plant Ecologist

Activities Botanist/plant ecologist with the Wetlands Group. Responsibilities include wetland delineation, assessment of potential wetland mitigation sites, monitoring of wetland mitigation sites, monitoring of endangered plant populations, and establishment of endangered plants on mitigation sites. This work is done primarily for Illinois Department of Transportation road projects.

Research
Vascular flora of Illinois; floristic botany; aquatic plant surveys; plant identification workshops; lichenology; lichenized fungi of Illinois; systematics of lichenized fungi, especially the family Acarosporaceae and the genera Polysporina and Sarcogyne.

Recognition James E. Ozment Achievement Award in Natural History, presented by the Southern Illinois University Foundation, Carbondale. 1986.
