Biologists in the Field was one of two books published to celebrate the Illinois Natural History Survey's sesquicentennial. This publication includes essays, field observations, poems, quotes, and other experiences that INHS staff have had over the years. The book contains correspondence between Stephen A. Forbes and his wife while he was travelling and completing fieldwork. May Berenbaum has provided the foreword and Michael R. Jeffords, Susan L. Post and Charles Warwick are responsible for the editing.
