    Distribution

    Holarctic: known from Britain and Scandinavia; south to the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Hungary; east across European Russia to Siberia. Canada: Alberta, British Colombia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Saskatchewan, and Yukon; United States: Alaska, Colorado, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. The North American records were previously referred to Haliplus strigatus Roberts 1913.
