Widespread in northern nearctic, including all of Canada and much of the United States: Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
