Haliplus (Liaphlus) laminatus (Schaller 1783:314)

Van Vondel (1986) described the second- and third-stage larvae of this species. He assigned the species to the subgenus Haliplinus, based upon characters of the larval foreleg. He noted, however, that the adult lacked some characters of other members of this subgenus. The present checklist follows Holmen (1987) regarding the subgeneric status of this species.
