Haliplus hoppingi Wallis 1933:19 may be a junior synonym of this species.

Distribution

Widely distributed in northern nearctic. Canada: Alberta, British Colombia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Ontario, and Quebec; and United States: Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin.
