Canthydrus angustus Guignot 1957:42

Guignot (1957:42) designated this as the type species of his subgenus Liocanthydrus, which was described in the same paper as C. angustus.

Holotype male in the Zoology Department, Sao Paulo. Type locality: Brazil, Para, Cachimbo.
