Suphisellus grammopterus (Regimbart 1888:390)

In his work on Suphisellus of the Americas north of Colombia, Young (1979) noted that the genus was in need of revision, but that the South American species were so numerous and so poorly known that it could not be attempted then. This species was includes under Canthydrus by Zimmermann (1920), who later (1921) moved it to Suphisellus. It is included here as a species of Suphisellus following Zimmermann.
