I grew up in a small town called Fort Hill in Pennsylvania or Pennsyltucky as some would say. I graduated from Frostburg State University, Maryland in May 2003 with a BS is wildlife biology. Shortly after, my now husband, Mike, and I moved here to accept field technicians positions with the Illinois River Biological Station. So I’ve been with IRBS for about four continuous years. I live across the river in Lewistown with Mike and our “kids,” Ruger, a handsome-horse of a black lab and Jelly Bean, our rescued black and tan coonhound mix. I have a passion for many things such as hunting, fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and pretty much anything outdoors. I am definitely passionate about horses and wolves. I would one day enjoy studying or doing field work on wolves or some other large mammal, ungulate or carnivore for that matter! So I guess my future goals are to find a MS assistantship studying some sort of large mammal, then to find a wonderful job doing the same thing.
