The Declining Amphibian Populations Task Force was established in 1991 by the Species Survival Commission (SSC) of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). The newsletter of the DAPTF is FROGLOG.

Regional working groups promote research and education and act as information clearing houses. The Central Region includes Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. The coordinator is Chris Phillips, Illinois Natural History Survey, 607 E Peabody Drive, Champaign, Illinois 61820.
