Weed Feeder Case Histories

Although there are numerous examples of successful projects of biological control of weeds, including Klamath weed (Hypericum perforatum), prickly pear cati (Opuntia inermis and O. stricta), skeleton weed (Chondrilla juncea), and the aquatic weed, salvinia (Salvinia molesta), fewer examples are applicable to the Midwestern United States. Two projects -- both still in progress -- are showing beginning signs of impact against the weed, and will be illustrated as case histories.
