Who We Are
The Institute and its web page is a product of a number of Midwestern entomologists at universities or state or federal laboratories, who are representatives to the North Central Regional Committee on Biological Control of Pests (NCR-125), which is part of the USDA Cooperative States Research, Extension and Education Service (CSREES). Key players involved in creating, writing and testing the program include: Rob Wiedenmann, Joe Maddox and Lee Solter (Illinois Natural History Survey); Bob O'Neil (Purdue University); John Obrycki (Iowa State University); and our programmer, Connie Tomasula.
Numerous colleagues have graciously provided photographs, drawings or other materials to include in the program, including John Ruberson (University of Georgia), Marlin Rice (Iowa State University), Michael Jeffords (Illinois Natural History Survey), James Sternburg (University of Illinois), Larry Hanks (University of Illinois), Larry Charlet (USDA-ARS, Fargo North Dakota), Ron Cave (Pan American School of Agriculture), Jim Nechols (Kansas State University), and Doug Landis (Michigan State University). We apologize to those from whom we have received help and have forgotten to acknowledge.
