Members of the NCR-148 Regional Committee on Migration and Dispersal of Insects and Other Biotic Agents wish to extend their deepest appreciation for your dedicated service as the CSREES liaison. You kept the committee informed about national priorities, action plans, and funding levels which helped to focus the committee direction. Your objective and enlightening discussions were always offered in a constructive manner with a smile of encouragement. Your involvement helped spawn growth of the regional committee beyond administrative regions to include national cooperators. Further, the number of ARS partners increased within NCR-148. Increased partnership was clearly evident with the creation of the Alliance for Aerobiology Research which brought together specialists from the U.S. and Great Britain to exchange knowledge, propose hypotheses of aerobiological processes, and share resources.
On behalf of the NCR-148 Committee, thank you for your guidance, encouragement, and friendship. May you enjoy the fruits of your labor throughout your retirement.
