POLICY:

It is the policy of the Board to prohibit discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of their disability. Qualified individuals with disabilities shall not be excluded on the basis of their disability from participating in or being denied the benefits of any program, service or activity offered by the Surveys.

All programs, services and activities, when viewed in their entirety, will be readily accessible to and usable by individuals with disabilities. The Surveys will communicate effectively with individuals with speech, visual, and hearing impairments and provide auxiliary communication aids to qualified individuals with disabilities participating in or benefitting from the Survey's programs, services or activities to afford equal opportunity.


PROCEDURE:

A copy of this policy must be permanently posted on an accessible bulletin board at all work sites.

For information regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act or its interpretive regulations, to ask questions about your rights and remedies under the Act, to request reasonable modification to the Survey's policies, practices or procedures, or to file a written grievance alleging noncompliance with the Act, contact the Human Resources Manager in the respective Survey. If a staff member applies for an accommodation under the Americans With Disabilities Act, the HRM at the respective Survey will forward the request to DNR's designated ADA Coordinator.
