General: Dicot-herb, perennial

Shoots: alternate leaf arrangment; simple leaf type; entire leaf margin; Pinnate leaf venation; awl-shaped, oblong, ovate leaf shape

Inflorescence: solitary

Flowers: perfect; 4 merous; complete, regular; yellow; epigynous ovary position

Fruit: capsule

Physiology: autotrophic; C3 C02 fixation

Ecology & Natural History

Habitat: Species is distributed on rocky or sandy soil; edges of limestone bluff escarpments; calcareous soils.
