Ecology & Natural History

Habitat: Species is distributed in upland sinkhole ponds; swampy lowlands; about oxbow lakes; alluvial bottoms. Shaded swamps where water has receded exposing soaked logs are other areas where species is distributed. Populus heteophylla. See also SAF forest cover types.
