Graduate Opportunities at LMBS

heading offshore to conduct night samplingOpportunities are available for both MS and PhD-level students through programs at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where Sergiusz Czesny is an adjunct faculty member in the School of Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences. His primary research interests focus on ecological principles driving species interactions in freshwater ecosystems. He is especially interested in how competition, predation, and new species arrivals shape freshwater communities. He is also interested in the role essential nutrients have in fish reproductive success.

Potential students should contact Dr. Czesny by e-mail or phone about their potential interest in working with him. Students typically spend the school year at the Champaign-Urbana campus taking courses and work at the field station during summers to collect their data and interact directly with the field station staff.
