PROTECTING ILLINOIS' NATIVE RESOURCES

ILLINOIS NATIVE PLANT SOCIETY

You are invited to become a member of the Illinois Native Plant Society.  Members include professionals and amateurs who share an interest in all aspects of the flora native to the state of Illinois.

The Society was organized as the Southern Illinois Native Plant Society in 1981.  In 1986 it became today's statewide organization.  The Society currently consists of approximately 538 members.

Members participate at two levels, state and chapter.

As a state Society member, you will receive the quarterly newsletter, The Harbinger.  You will also receive the annual scientific journal, Erigenia, and an invitation to the annual meeting weekend in the spring.

Chapter activities include field trips, lectures, slide shows, and workshops.  Each chapter has its own newsletter.
