Mighty Miniatures: Introducing Young Entomologists to Insects introduces world of insects and provides classroom activities to teach about insects. It comes with a booklet and 2-sided poster. The booklet is for teachers, parents, or group leaders, and contains a general introduction to the world of insects, commentary for each poster, and a set of five activities that can be adapted for children in grades three through eight.

Most teachers will want to provide a poster for each student, but the activities can be completed even if only one or two posters are available. The package will help students learn about insects and how they live. All insects shown on the posters live in North America, and can be found in Illinois and other midwestern states. Students will enjoy coloring the posters as they learn more about the important role insects play in their lives. Everyone should have fun while getting acquainted with the wonderful world of insects and the science of entomology.

A set of 30 posters and one booletk is also available. Click to see the poster.
