Activities Working as an avian ecologist and coordinator my position involves helping coordinate and take part in bird monitoring throughout the state for a few different projects that involve both landowner and volunteer relationships. In addition to field work I spend time managing databases, writing reports, making maps using GIS, and educating the public.

Research
Avian research involving, but not limited to, Coordinating the monitoring plan for owls and nightjars (MOON) in Illinois, Critical Trends Assessment Program (CTAP), song and movement in nocturnal birds, American Plovers and stopover habitat, and transmigration work.
