My primary research interests are in aquatic ecology at the population, community, and ecosystem levels. I am interested in conservation of native species, and the effects of anthropogenic disturbances and invasive species on aquatic ecosystems. As a research tool, I am interested in the application of stable isotope techniques to answer ecological questions. My current research is focused on invasive Asian carp; in particular, I am investigating sampling efficiency, and the impact of Asian carp on native species and food webs. I am also looking at predator-prey dynamics in Illinois lakes. |
