Our dear friend and colleague, Brenda Healy, passed away on 5 March 2006 in Ireland. A memoriam celebrating her life was presented at the 10th International symposium on Aquatic Oligochaeta, convened in Wuhan, China, in October 2006; that memoriam will be included in the symposium proceedings, scheduled for publication in Acta Hydrobiologica Sinica, in late-2008. We miss her very much.
