Tabanid Database in Mandala
The Tabanid database was a primary impetus for the latest Mandala upgrade to version 8.0. In addition to reducing the number of files from 23 to 3 and increasing the number of tables to 27, these added tables now track the progress and history of molecular studies including extractions, PCR products, primers, and sequences, the latter of which also provides links to GenBank. A customizable morphology table was also added. These features are now being tested with the tabanid data imported from earlier work by co-PI Shelah Morita.
