    Introduction
    1. The computer is just another medium and it requires an artists
    knowledge and in depth understanding of Ïimage renderingÓ to
    produce required and successful image results
    2. Scientific illustrators form hypotheses, test various combinations
    of sequences and colors.
    3. (Experiments) or renderings are critically evaluated, an artists
    hypotheses proved or disproved by the success of the created
    illusion of 3 dimensional space on a 2 dimensional surface.
    4. Key words in the field of scientific illustration are: problem
    solving, experimentation, and creative thinking . Are not these
    key words also used by scientists?
