INHS Technical Reports are authored by INHS scientists for the purpose of documenting the status, stewardship, conservation, and restoration of Illinois’ biotic resources. The reports are used by INHS, the Department of Natural Resources, and various granting agencies to assess needs and formulate policy. Reports may originate from any of the INHS centers and field stations.

CRITICAL TRENDS ASSESSMENT PROGRAM
The Critical Trends Assessment Program (CTAP) is a long-term endeavor, which monitors the condition of forests, wetlands, grasslands, and streams throughout the state of Illinois. This project seeks to assess changes in ecological conditions as well as to serve as a baseline from which to compare regional and site-specific patterns throughout Illinois.

The Human Dimensions Research Program conducts social research in Illinois and throughout North America on various issues affecting wildlife management, ecosystems restoration, and environmental health.
