Research
Prescribed burning in the sustainable conservation and restoration of tidal marshes in the Chesapeake Bay region. Specifically, I am interested in the interactions between nutrient mobilization, plant nutrient availability, and soil organic matter dynamics following burning as a management practice, and the implications these results may have to marsh conservation in the face of sea-level rise.
