The shop provides support by: Procuring materials and equipment to address staff office and research needs either through purchase, construction, or surplus. Repairing and/or modifying lab and field equipment as requested. Providing design, cost estimates, material purchase, and construction of research equipment either too expensive to purchase or unavailable commercially. Modifying, repairing, and occasionally rescuing research field vehicles, and aquatic boats and trailers. Any and all other duties as requested within reason.
