Systematics of the Rosaceae (Rose Family), especially subfamily Maloideae (Apple Subfamily), currently co-authoring the treatment of the genus Rosa (roses) for the Flora of China. Systematics of the Amaranthaceae (Pigweed Family), currently authoring or co-authoring treatments of Amaranthus, Celosia, Achyranthes, and Hermbstaedtia, plus family description and key to genera, for Flora of North America. Systematics of the genus Jacquemontia (Convolvulaceae, Morning Glory Family), currently completing a manuscript on a species found in Panama. A Knowledge-based Digital Library of Scientific Investigation Processes, co-principal investigator, funded by Institute of Museum and Library Services. Illinois Endangered Species Protection Board, Technical Advisory Committee on Plants. Co-teach Plant Systematics each spring semester, Department of Plant Biology, University of Illinois. |
