Research
Systematics, evolution, and ecology of freshwater fishes and Malacostraca; protection of aquatic natural areas. Current research emphasis is on phylogenetic relationships, biological surveys, the evolution of reproductive behaviors, and speciation processes that have led to the large diversity of freshwater organisms.
