Activities My research interests include studying the plant communities and floristic composition of natural areas throughout Illinois. I am also interested in studying closely related species complexes (especially in the genus Carex) using macro and micro morphological characters.

Floristic inventory of Orchid Hill, Vermilion County, Illinois.

Aquatic vegetation survey of Wolf Lake, Cook County, Illinois with special reference to threatened and endangered taxa.

Habitat enhancement for Decurrent False Aster [Boltonia decurrens (Torr. & Gray) Wood], an Illinois River Valley endemic.

Floristic Inventory of selected Kankakee County sand savannas.

Site steward at Shortline Railroad Prairie (owned by Grand Prairie Friends).

Participating in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park All Taxa Biodiversity Inventory (ATBI) vouchering all vascular plants by watershed.
