Accessory Fruits

In accessory fruits, part of the fruit structure comes from tissue other than the ovary of the plant.
 

The seeds of the strawberry are located on the outside of the fruit. The juicy part is called the receptacle.


The most common type of aggregate fruit is a strawberry.
