Remarks: The data with the "type" (37671) from
ZMB reads "Südl. Brasilien C. Nehring, Piracicaba 37671
S". Data written in the shell reads" Flu.. Piracicaba,
C. Nehring 1884". Six additional "Syntypes" also
bear the same catalogue number as the "type". One of
the larger specimens (e) has a label affixed to the shell that
reads "Conch. Mitth 42, 2.3" refering to the plate
and figure numbers in von Martens 1885. A specimen in the type
collection of the USNM (125733) is labeled "Rio Grande do
Sul, Brazil, Von Mart., B.H. Wright". On the back of the
label it reads "This specimen is exactly like the figure
of the type. The type loc. is affluente of Rio Tiete, Prov.,
Sao Paulo, Brazil."
