Remarks: Woodward (1984) resurrected Unio navigioliformis Lea, 1859 from the synonymy of Cafferia caffer (Krauss, 1848) where it was placed by Simpson (1900:828) and Haas (1969:155) and placed it in Cucumerunio Iredale, 1934. Specific epithet consistantly misspelled as naviglioformis by Woodward (1984) and Smith (1992:16).
